Diabetes Awareness
Because one of the biggest threats of diabetes is blindness, we, Lions use awareness programs to educate the community on the prevention, threats and precautions.

Precious Pet
The Precious Pet project is an annual event where tags are inserted into animals to make them visible through tracking devices.  The pet, if lost, can be reunited with its owner.

Care for the Care Givers
The project is a new project (Lion Heart Initiative).  The project has as its main focus, the caregivers in the community.  Donations and other sponsorships are used to “treat” caregivers and we try with this project to get their minds and attention away from the unselfish, stressful and thankless task they must perform.

Environmental Project
Various projects form part of this.  These include the beautification of the environment through tree-planting projects, to the latest project of the Lions Club of Potchefstroom, where we adopted a park.  We are responsible to maintain and keep the corner clean.
